When I was inspired to do this project, the social media part was not part of the plan. I was coerced by family and friends to utilize social media so I can reach more people.
It has been a huge learning curve for me, and continues to be so. It also takes time, which I usually don’t have much extra to give.
When I was in Australia, and I struggled to find time and internet to write the blog, I began to wonder if it was even worth it. I was really hoping for more interaction on the blog and FB page with the people that I hand the cards too. But just as I was having those thoughts, I would hand the cards to someone and see the smile of gratitude on their face and feel the warmth in their heart, and just KNOW I am doing something I LOVE. Even if I don’t continue with social media, I will NEVER STOP GIVING OUT THE CARDS 🙂
I had the most wonderful validation when I went a few days ago to register the name “Thank You for Being You”… when the clerk read the name, he got a big smile on face and said “I really like that name”. I handed him two cards, and he immediately got up and gave the other one to the clerk working next to him. She got all excited about it, and my heart sang all day 🙂
I am still hoping for more interaction – comments below, likes on the page, and posted pics of you giving the card to someone. Please, let me know you have stopped by 🙂
