It’s Thanksgiving day in America, so first of all I would like to THANK ALL OF YOU for BEING YOU!
My perspective, it would be beneficial to each individual, every family, and the entire human race if EVERYDAY is a day to give Thanks. Thanks for each other, for our planet, for being alive! Seriously, what a wonderful blessing and miracle Life is.
I returned from Egypt a few days ago, and WOW what an experience that was. Landed in Cairo on a full moon night, so dropped off my bags and went directly to Giza to see the Pyramids in the mesmerizing moonlight. Spent 2 days visiting the Pyramids, the Sphinx, a few museums, and went inside the Pyramid of Djoser, which is considered the oldest Pyramid in Egypt. Next we flew to Aswan, and I totally fell in love. The entire area is surrounded by water, and the temples are on Islands. One of my favorites was the Philae Temple of Isis. Next day we drove to Abu Simbel, one of the most recognizable ancient sites in Egypt, near the border of Sudan. We spent the next 3 days on the boat that took us on the Nile River to Luxor, stopping to see Temples on the way; like the Valley of the Kings, Avenue of the Sphinxes, Luxor Temple, and quite a few more. I lay in my bed in the afternoons and mornings looking out the big wall of a window watching the Nile life of people riding their donkey home, and the traditional homes with their dome top to catch the heat. Flew back to Cairo and spent my last full day by myself walking around the Pyramids of Giza to know them even more.
Egypt is another one of those places that I will definitely return.
“I feel as though I have lived many lives, experienced the heights and depths of each and like the waves of the ocean, never known rest. Throughout the years, I looked always for the unusual, for the wonderful, for the mysteries at the heart of life.”
