I have been back home in California for over two weeks, and I am just now getting the moment to write about my last day in Australia.
I chose to take the long way, following the coast back to Sydney from Lakes Entrance… and it was definitely worth it. I spent about an hour in what I rate as the most beautiful beach I saw in Australia – Hyams Beach.
It took me around 9 hrs to get to Sydney. I slept near the Airport and left early the next morning.
Before I left, I posted a map that I guessed I would take – it turned out to be a bit different, mostly because I chose to stay on the coast as much as possible. Being a person who craves water time, the Australian coast was such a pleasure to become acquainted with. I will post here the route I ended up taking.
I have to say, Australia was all I could imagine and much, much more. I enjoyed every minute (even driving 7,984km). The people were kind and welcoming, the landscape was mesmerizing, and all the different critters were absolutely adorable. I LOVE YOU AUSTRALIA – THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!
“For the 99 percent of the time we’ve been on Earth, we were hunter and gatherers, our lives dependent on knowing the fine, small details of our world. Deep inside, we still have a longing to be reconnected with the nature that shaped our imagination, our language, our song and dance, our sense of the divine.” Janine M. Benyus
THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU
Well, as I have mentioned, I am not very good with technology – I can’t get the entire map to load 🙁 I get some help with this one 🙂
