Before leaving Greece and starting my adventure through the Balkans, I had to do a quick couple of days road trip to Mt. Olympus and Meteora.
Due to my leg injury, I was not able to hike to the top of Mt. Olympus (the highest peak in Greece), but I did venture through some of the trails and found some magnificent swimming holes and waterfalls.
The one of the pictures I am posting here is the view of Mt. Olympus peak from my room 🙂
The formations of nature in Meteora are truly AWE inducing! At one time there were over a hundred monasteries there, but now there are around 4 still intact. It is very interesting to see how they built them in the tall mountains.
