I attended an event near Sacramento California and since Mt. Shasta is just 4 hr drive away, I just had to drive up for a quick visit 🙂
Mt. Shasta is one of the top 5 power spots on the planet, and one of the top 3 loves of my life. Hawaiian Islands my number one… I met Lake Tahoe when I was 13 and it was instantly my second, and Shasta became number three when I first went there 11 years ago.
I usually spend at least a month in the summer camping either at Castle Lake, or at Panther Meadows near the base of Mt. Shasta.
I love to hike up to Heart lake from Castle lake. The entire Mt. Shasta area, including the little town is magical and gives you the feeling of being in a totally different dimension of any other place.
I would like to explain my perception of LOVE – Love is the life force of all that exist. When we feel love, we are recognizing and feeling connection to that life force. Some people, places, and things give you a deeper feeling of connection “love” than others – and these top three places of mine I definitely feel an intense connection with.
This trip there is still a lot of snow. The road to Panther meadows was closed because of the snow, so I walked over 4 hours with my sneakers and shorts on in determination to meditate in my favorite place in the meadow. Even though I have been there many times before, it was very difficult to find when all you see around you is snow. Then just when I thought I was truly lost… I saw a sign (see pic below).
I will post here some pics of Mt. Shasta area now, and will also include some pics I took during the summer there so you can see the landscape better. I am also in the process of making a video of this current trip.
